Post by: Sgt.Soldier™ on April 08, 2014, 07:08:47 PM
(Asking those who was good with hardware)

Would you guys recommend this? ($400-500 Budget)

Figured that would work and just throw in old graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT)

(Ignore the PS3/Wii,just look at the card :p)

Also be nice if could share if putting the pc together (Assuming I have to build it..) is hard or not? If so could you recommend a good pre-built gaming pc?

EDIT : Think I got it handled it out now. Just need to confirm with my mom :P So'll update later. Thanks for help.

really dont need that much power if you're going to go with that old gpu, also i would recommend not going cheap for your cpu cooler :P

PS This is what I'll be going for as my next build (which should be soon http://pcpartpicker.com/user/chezit24/saved/37Co (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/chezit24/saved/37Co))

There's plenty of how-to guides on how to build a pc and some are easy to follow. Since you might not be experienced on building pc's, then I suggest to just buy a pre-built one. Building the pc from scratch could definitely save you up to $100, but it is a bit time consuming, especially if you are new.

I personally bought my pc and later upgraded it. I installed new fans, psu and graphics card. In the end, I recommend you just buy a pre-built pc, due to the fact that it comes with a full warranty and simply building a pc from scratch might not.

Watch this video comparing the two: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pebT8Zyy6Bc (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pebT8Zyy6Bc)

**Also if you want to build a pc, watch this, its pretty detailed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSNz6VVpWI8 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSNz6VVpWI8)**

Update: Had some help from Caffeine , and showed my mom and what not.

Since the price went over it's a bit out of her budget right now due to the fact she has 2 cars (irl) and both are experiencing problems so she needs to focus on that which also means it'll be longer til I get my new PC. (Hopefully still by my birthday but she said it's a 50/50,she can't guarantee  :-\ )
